The issue i have is that when i go to change the sheet metal thickness value in the cut list properties solidworks will not let me edit the property.
Therefore the new body will have the mirrored sheet metal part thickness at 2 mm fig.

I started out with a box with 06 thickness but as the design has evolved the box is much bigger now and i want to change its thickness to 09 but the thickness value is disabled grayed out in the sheet metal feature now.

A great tool available to solidworks sheet metal users is the sheet metal gauge table in this table users can configure a microsoft excel spreadsheet to represent the appropriate sheet metal wall thickness based on material and gauge values.
As you can see in the video when i change the thickness before making an extruded cut everything goes as expected the thickness changes normally.
Now you change the parent seed sheet metal part thickness.
